Hospice RN Job Details

• Job Title: Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Anchorage, Alaska 99508
• Healthcare Setting: On-Site, Home Health Hospice
• Start Date: November 10, 2025
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5 shifts per week
• Shift: 8-hour days (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Total Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekly Pay Estimate: $2,434 - $2,705
• Service Area: Anchorage region, covering up to 40 miles north and south
• On-Call/Weekend: Rotational call coverage (2 weekends per contract, 4-5 weekday evenings/month as 2nd RN)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of recent Home Health RN experience within the last 3 years
• Proficiency with HCHB (Homecare Homebase) – required
• Experience with OASIS documentation – required
• Active Alaska or Compact RN License – required (must be valid at time of application)
• Current BLS certification – required

Hospice RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice nursing care to patients in their homes throughout Anchorage, Alaska
• Manage a caseload of 12-15 hospice patients, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation using HCHB and OASIS systems
• Participate in rotational on-call coverage for evenings and weekends as part of the nursing team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on disease progression, symptom management, and end-of-life care best practices
