Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD preferred) from an accredited program
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Audiologist; hospital experience preferred
• Valid Audiologist license in the state of Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience with diagnostic audiometry (pure-tone, speech), tympanometry, OAEs, and ABR preferred
• Proficiency in hearing aid fitting, verification (real-ear), and assistive listening devices is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to counsel patients and families
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary hospital team
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with hospital EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations for patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform and interpret tests such as pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, otoacoustic emissions (OAEs), and auditory brainstem response (ABR)
• Fit and dispense hearing aids and assistive listening devices; program and verify fittings (real-ear measurement when applicable)
• Provide counseling, education, and rehabilitation planning for patients and their families regarding hearing loss and treatment options
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care in the hospital
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with hospital policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in departmental meetings, continuing education, and initiatives to improve audiology services and patient outcomes
