- Orientation: General hospital orientation followed by 1 day on the unit
- Scheduling: Every-other-weekend rotation; holiday scheduling based on unit needs
- Parking: Free in designated areas

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of intermediate care or progressive care unit (PCU) experience required
- 2 years of Med/Surg experience may be considered if accompanied by some PCU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Experience with cardiac patients and medical-surgical patients preferred
- Comfort caring for patients with trachs, vents, stroke, trauma, sepsis, and respiratory support needs
- Ability to work nights and participate in an every-other-weekend rotation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, including cardiac rhythm interpretation and neuro checks
- Care for patients with chest tubes, wound vacs, drains, ostomies, trachs, and ventilator support
- Administer and manage therapies such as high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, insulin drips, and non-titrating vasoactive or antiarrhythmic drips
- Perform IV starts and support post-procedure care, including TR bands and femoral sheath recovery
- Collaborate with charge nurses, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and other clinical support teams to deliver quality patient care
- Float to the ED, ICU, or CCU when needed for appropriate intermediate assignments
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner charting system
