  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890 (competitive travel nurse pay)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license: Ohio RN or Compact State RN license accepted
  • Minimum 1 year recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, or similar high-acuity cardiac unit
  • BLS certification (AHA required)
  • Background check, fingerprinting, and employment verification
  • Valid Driver's License or State ID

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and complex cardiac diagnoses in a Cardiac Stepdown / telemetry setting
  • Monitor and manage patients with implantable cardiac devices including pacemakers and ICDs, and care for patients supported by VADs (ventricular assist devices)
  • Manage care for patients awaiting or recovering from heart transplantation and other advanced cardiac procedures
  • Support pre- and post-procedural care for cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, ablations, and chemical cardioversion
  • Administer and monitor anti-dysrhythmic therapies; assess for electrolyte-related dysrhythmias and tachy-brady syndromes
  • Perform continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring, titrate therapies per protocol, and promptly escalate changes in condition to the multidisciplinary team
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, medication administration, and patient outcomes in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and other team members to deliver high-quality cardiac patient care
