Travel Cardiac Stepdown RN job in Morgantown, West Virginia for an experienced telemetry nurse seeking a 13-week acute-care contract. - Nursing Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in West Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience; cardiac stepdown, progressive-care, PCU, or telemetry nursing experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong telemetry knowledge with the ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Recent experience caring for acute medical-surgical or cardiac stepdown patients
- Ability to safely manage and titrate intravenous medication drips
- Flexibility to work scheduled weekends and holidays and float when clinical needs require
Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown and medical-surgical environment
- Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and communicate concerns promptly
- Monitor telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms, and respond appropriately to clinical changes
- Administer medications and manage titratable infusions according to established protocols
- Collaborate with providers, respiratory therapists, nursing assistants, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Complete accurate nursing documentation in Epic while promoting patient safety and continuity of care
- Support patients and families through education, care coordination, and discharge planning
