- Shift Schedule: 5 shifts per week, typically 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
- Daily Volume: Approximately 20-22 clinic patients per day, plus 3-4 hospital consults and 4-6 EP cases depending on case length
- EMR: Cerner
- Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days
Cardiology Electrophysiology Job Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible physician
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Active Arizona medical license preferred; providers may be eligible to obtain licensure
- ACLS certification required
- Must be comfortable performing moderate sedation independently
- Experience with cardiac electrophysiology, arrhythmia management, heart rhythm disturbances, and ablations required
- Case logs demonstrating at least 100 EP cases within the last 2 years, with emphasis on ablations
- Familiarity with Abbott EnSite-X mapping system strongly preferred
- Experience performing TEEs required
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required; exemptions and declinations allowed
Responsibilities
- Provide expert care for adult patients with electrophysiology and cardiac rhythm disorders
- Perform ablations, including left-sided ablations, in a high-acuity procedural environment
- Support hospital consults and outpatient/in-office EP care
- Manage a steady volume of clinic and procedural cases with efficiency and clinical precision
- Use Cerner for documentation and maintain timely, accurate medical records
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered cardiac care
- Contribute to a smooth workflow across both hospital and clinic settings
