Required Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiology (Internal Medicine – Cardiology)
- Active state medical license (able to practice in Ohio)
- Fellowship training in Cardiology (minimum 3 years)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar cardiology or cardiac testing setting
- Proficiency in TEE (transesophageal echo), tilt table testing, and conscious sedation
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and interpret a high volume of cardiac studies (EKG, echo, stress tests)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and interpret daily cardiac testing and cardiac imaging, including high-volume diagnostic reads
- Daily testing volumes (approximate):
- Stress tests: 15–20 per day
- Stress echo / Dobutamine stress echo: ~1 per day
- Tilt table tests: ~1 per day
- EKGs: ~75 per day
- Echo studies: 15–20 per day
- TEE procedures: 1–2 per day
- Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiology procedures and cardiac imaging (echo, TEE, stress imaging)
- Provide inpatient cardiology care, including ICU coverage as needed
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely reporting in all cardiac diagnostic readings
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (nursing, technicians, hospitalists) to deliver exceptional patient care
