- Schedule: 7am – 5pm, Monday–Friday (no weekend call; weekday call coverage)
- Patient Encounters per Shift: 15–20
- Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days

Locum Tenens Cardiology Physician Qualifications
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine – Cardiology (required)
- Active and unrestricted physician license (state-specific licensure required)
- Completed Cardiology Fellowship (minimum 3 years)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year recent inpatient cardiology experience (locum tenens or hospital-employed preferred)
- Proficiency in ICU-level cardiac care, non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography, TEE, nuclear cardiology, and STEMI management
- Ability to divide patient load and collaborate effectively with an independent Nurse Practitioner and multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient cardiology rounding and weekday call coverage as the locum cardiologist
- Manage ICU-level cardiac patients and lead STEMI responses when required
- Perform and interpret echocardiography, transesophageal echo (TEE), and nuclear cardiology studies
- Collaborate with an independent Nurse Practitioner and multidisciplinary team to coordinate inpatient cardiology care
- Participate in daily cardiovascular testing check-ins and contribute to patient care planning
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient encounters and follow hospital documentation standards
