• Assignment Dates: June 10, 2026 – June 15, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $10,260 – $11,000
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (contract)
• Shifts: Night Call (5p–8a), 24-hour Call (8a–8a)
• Shift Duration: 16-hour days
• On-site Position: Must be available to provide on-site call coverage

Job Requirements

• MD or DO degree required
• Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active and unrestricted medical license (Pennsylvania license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiothoracic surgery or equivalent recent practice
• Proven ability to perform emergency procedures, including ECMO and pericardial tamponade
• Flexibility to cover core dates: June 10–15, 2026

Responsibilities

• Provide call coverage and rounding for cardiothoracic surgery patients, including post-op care
• Manage emergency cardiac and thoracic cases; perform ECMO cannulation and tamponade management as needed
• Respond to urgent surgical consults and perform necessary operative and bedside interventions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (ICU, anesthesia, perfusion) to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient encounters and procedures
