• Position: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) / Cardiac Cath Lab RN
• Location: Orange, CA 92868 (Orange County, Southern California travel nurse job)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: July 6, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day, 12-hour shifts (06:30 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend
• Number of Openings: 2
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,070 – $2,180

Job Requirements — Cath Lab RN / Travel Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent Cath Lab RN experience required (2 years preferred) – Cardiac Cath Lab and IR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Active California RN license in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications current and in-hand at time of application
• Experience with PCI/stent placement, left/right heart catheterization, closure devices, Impella support, Swan-Ganz monitoring, vascular access, and conscious sedation
• Epic charting experience preferred (must be documented in work history)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no exemptions) — standard for many California nursing jobs
• Two (2) supervisor references required with application
• No Nursys or background hits accepted
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application and cannot be changed after submission; no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment

Responsibilities — Cath Lab Nursing & Peri-Procedural Care

• Deliver safe, high-quality peri-procedural nursing care for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and IR procedures as a Cath Lab RN
• Prepare patients for procedures, assist with sedation and monitoring, and provide post-procedure recovery and handoff (peri-procedural nursing)
• Perform focused assessments and continuous hemodynamic monitoring, including telemetry and advanced monitoring (Swan-Ganz)
• Support interventional cases such as PCI/stent placement, structural cases, left/right heart caths, closure devices, and mechanical circulatory support (Impella)
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, PT, social services, and transport to ensure coordinated patient care
• Accurately document in Epic, adhere to patient safety and infection prevention protocols, and follow unit-specific policies
• Complete required orientation, competency validation, and unit education/modules as assigned
