Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel assignment in San Francisco, CA. Join a world-class Cardiac Cath/Interventional Cardiology team at a leading medical center for a 23-week travel nursing contract. Ideal for experienced interventional cardiology nurses with structural heart and TAVR expertise.

Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active California RN license required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- AHA BLS & ACLS certifications current
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Cardiac Cath/Interventional Cardiology as a Cath Lab RN or interventional cardiology nurse
- Recent travel nursing experience within the last 12 months preferred
- Hands-on experience with Structural Heart procedures and TAVR
- Ability to float to other facilities and units as needed
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure recovery
- Assist with advanced interventional procedures: Structural Heart, TAVR, PCI, device implantations, ASD closures, valvuloplasty
- Monitor procedural sedation, manage airway and vital signs during interventions
- Administer emergency medications, manage IV vasopressors and respond to code scenarios as needed
- Perform diagnostic and interventional catheterizations (left/right heart studies) and support vascular access management
- Manage vascular closure systems, sheath removal, hemostasis monitoring, and post-procedural vascular assessments
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, anesthesia, cath techs, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain strict infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions in line with hospital policy
- Float to other units or facilities when required to support patient care and staffing needs
