Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Charge RN / Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Ambulatory Care
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week ambulatory care travel assignment in Kansas City, Kansas. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Kansas City, Kansas
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,080–$2,190
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel Registered Nurse assignment
- Anticipated Start Date: October 25, 2026; final start date to be confirmed
- Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday, scheduled by the manager
- Shift Hours: Approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Weekend Requirement: None
- Holiday Requirement: Based on unit needs
- On-Call Requirement: None
- Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory care, clinical coordination, and patient-facing nursing care
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas
- At least 2 years of recent clinical RN experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients
- Experience in a patient-facing ambulatory care or clinical nursing role
- Hands-on proficiency with IV placement, port access, skin and wound care, tracheostomy care, and PEG tube care
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, and written and verbal communication skills
- New graduate applicants are not eligible for this travel nursing assignment
- Experience in radiation oncology, medical oncology, emergency nursing, or intensive care nursing is preferred
Ambulatory Care RN Responsibilities
- Coordinate care for patients within an assigned disease specialty while collaborating closely with providers and nursing teammates
- Provide cross-coverage and support continuity of care for patients across the ambulatory care team
- Deliver direct patient care, including IV placement, port access, wound and skin care, tracheostomy care, and PEG tube care
- Support care coordination between medical oncology, surgical oncology, and other clinical services
- Help obtain outside medical records and ensure relevant clinical information is available to the care team
- Assist with scheduling diagnostic scans, procedures, and follow-up services
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and help ensure timely follow-through on patient care needs
- Complete required onboarding and clinical systems training before beginning the assignment
