  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
  • Role: Charge RN / Stroke Coordinator (Travel RN, Travel Nursing)
  • Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour (Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30)
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,440–$2,570/week
  • Setting: Stroke Coordinator Unit / Stroke Unit (adult patient population)
  • On-Site: Yes

Job Requirements

  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission) — required for California nursing jobs and travel RN placements
  • BLS certification (AHA required)
  • ACLS certification (AHA required)
  • NIHSS certification (AHA required)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • Previous Charge RN experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Must be available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing
  • 7-year work history verification required
  • Must provide accurate work history and certifications at submission
  • Travelers may float to other locations if census is low

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate stroke care and assist with survey readiness, ensuring adherence to stroke protocols and quality metrics
  • Serve as Charge RN: lead, mentor, and support nursing staff on the stroke unit
  • Ensure compliance with stroke protocols, performance improvement initiatives, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, rehab, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and utilize Epic charting system for clinical documentation and handoffs
  • Participate in orientation and complete required modules via e-learning
  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients in the Stroke Coordinator unit
