• Setting: Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVICU) / Cardiac ICU
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nurse)
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• End Date: June 29, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; shifts may vary)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Openings: 3 CVICU RN positions available
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 (competitive travel nursing pay)

Job Requirements – CVICU / Cardiac ICU Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent CVICU or cardiothoracic ICU experience (travel experience accepted)
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS (all active, not pending)
• One supervisory reference from the specialty (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
• Ability to work at least every other holiday during the assignment
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (maximum 2 attempts)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical or religious exemptions may be considered)
• Background screening and timely fingerprinting/badging required prior to start

Responsibilities – CVICU Registered Nurse / Critical Care RN Duties

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to post-operative cardiovascular surgical patients in a critical care setting
• Monitor and manage invasive lines, advanced hemodynamic monitoring systems, and mechanical circulatory support / advanced cardiac devices
• Administer medications, titrate vasoactive drips, and support post-op cardiac procedures and recovery
• Perform comprehensive assessments, interpret telemetry/ECG rhythms, and promptly communicate clinical changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, anesthesia, and allied health staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in required competencies, orientation modules, and ongoing unit education for continuous professional development
