As a CT / Radiologic Technologist in the Cath Lab (Computed Tomography technologist, Rad Tech), you will support interventional cardiology procedures and provide diagnostic imaging for cardiac patients. Job Requirements (CT / Radiologic Technologist)

  • At least 1 year of CT / Radiologic Technologist experience (less than 2 years accepted)
  • ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologist) — ARRT (R) required/preferred
  • IEMA license or applicable state licensure for Illinois; allied health state or national certification and/or license required
  • Current CPR certification (BLS)
  • Proficiency in starting IVs and preparing/administering contrast media
  • Experience with GE imaging equipment preferred (GE CT/GE Radiology systems)
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety, infection control, and patient monitoring during interventional procedures
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT imaging and assist with interventional cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab (cardiac CT support)
  • Operate CT and radiologic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic and procedural imaging; ensure image quality and proper documentation
  • Start IVs, prepare contrast media, and monitor patients for adverse reactions during procedures
  • Collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare staff to support patient care and efficient workflow
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to call-backs as required for emergency cardiac imaging
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and comply with safety, radiation protection, and infection control protocols
