Job Requirements
- 2 years of CVICU, ICU, or related critical care nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Experience with Epic required
- Strong background in cardiac monitoring, vasoactive drips, and hemodynamic support
- Comfort managing complex, high-acuity cardiovascular and post-operative cardiac patients
- Ability to work night shifts and maintain excellent teamwork in a busy ICU setting
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized CVICU nursing care for patients with complex cardiac needs
- Monitor and manage arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and IABP support
- Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips according to patient condition and protocol
- Care for ventilated patients and support ECMO-related care as needed
- Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias to support rapid clinical decision-making
- Maintain strict isolation precautions and promote patient safety at all times
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Document accurately in Epic and communicate effectively during handoff and shift changes
