CVICU Registered Nurse Travel Assignment in Pocatello, Idaho
Join a high-acuity Cardiovascular ICU team in Pocatello, Idaho, and take on a rewarding travel nurse job in advanced cardiac care. - Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Night shifts, 4x12-hour schedule (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $1,960
- Orientation: Onsite orientation provided
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU, ICU, or critical care nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Strong critical care skills with the ability to manage complex cardiac and post-operative patients
- Ability to work night shifts and maintain calm, focused care in a fast-paced cardiovascular ICU environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside care for CVICU patients, including post-open heart and complex cardiac cases
- Monitor and manage arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, pacing wires, and invasive hemodynamic devices
- Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips, sedation, insulin, and other ICU therapies as ordered
- Care for patients with conditions such as MI, cardiomyopathy, sepsis/shock, stroke, trauma, respiratory failure, and multi-system organ dysfunction
- Support advanced therapies including ventilator management, CRRT, ECMO, and IABP/Impella care when needed
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, compassionate, and timely patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
