CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Wheeling, WV

CVOR Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in West Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent CVOR or cardiovascular operating room nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards, surgical safety practices, and cardiovascular procedures
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and weekends as scheduled
- Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and clinical judgment
CVOR Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive nursing care throughout cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Prepare the operating room, equipment, supplies, and patient for scheduled cardiovascular procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team
- Maintain a sterile environment and follow surgical safety, infection prevention, and quality standards
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes during the perioperative period
- Complete accurate clinical documentation in Allscripts and communicate essential patient information during handoffs
- Assist with efficient operating room turnover and maintain readiness for cardiovascular cases
- Support positive patient outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based perioperative nursing practice
