CVOR Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,650–$2,790
- Position Type: Travel nursing contract
- Location: Antioch, California
- Start Date: November 3, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 2, 2027
- Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week
- Shift: Day shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Weekend Coverage: As needed based on unit needs
- Call: As needed based on census
- Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular procedural services
CVOR Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant Registered Nurse experience
- Valid California Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC
- Current NIHSS certification
- CCI RCIS and/or CCI RCES certification, as applicable to the role
- Recent experience in a cardiac catheterization lab, cardiovascular operating room, or comparable procedural setting
- Travel nursing experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- LTAC experience required
- Charting system experience required
- Ability to provide two professional references obtained within the past year
- Strong knowledge of procedural safety, infection prevention, radiation safety, and emergency response protocols
CVOR RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric patients throughout the pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases.
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including percutaneous coronary interventions, left and right heart catheterizations, angiography, stent placement, and vascular closure.
- Monitor patients during procedural sedation and recognize changes in cardiac rhythm, hemodynamic status, and level of consciousness.
- Administer medications, emergency interventions, thrombolytics, vasopressors, and reversal agents according to established protocols.
- Perform or assist with sheath removal and monitoring, ACT measurement, arterial and venous access management, and post-procedure recovery.
- Support advanced cardiovascular procedures such as TAVR, pacemaker and defibrillator procedures, electrophysiology procedures, and other special procedures as assigned.
- Obtain and interpret 12-lead ECGs, manage dysrhythmias, and promptly escalate changes in patient condition.
- Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate care with physicians, anesthesia providers, technologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention, isolation, radiation, laser, and patient safety standards.
- Participate in weekend coverage and on-call assignments as required by unit needs and patient volume.
