Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) travel position in Cleveland, OH — 13-week hemodialysis & bedside ICU dialysis opportunity. Join a dedicated team as a Dialysis RN in vibrant Cleveland, Ohio (44111). Job Details

  • Location: Cleveland, OH 44111 (Cuyahoga County)
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 6/12/2026 – End: 9/11/2026)
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010 (competitive weekly pay for travel nurses)
  • Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00am – 7:30pm)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • On-call rotation and every other weekend required
  • Setting: Dialysis unit and bedside hemodialysis for ICU patients (inpatient & outpatient hemodialysis)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent Dialysis RN experience prior to travel (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis experience preferred)
  • Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand at time of submission
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross
  • TWO recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Dialysis (within the last 12 months) are required for submission. Co-worker references are not accepted. References must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months.
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start. Note: Nurses are temporarily exempt from the nicotine-free facility requirement; the nicotine (Cotinine) component is not currently enforced for nurses.
  • Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Responsibilities (Dialysis RN / Travel Nurse Duties)

  • Provide high-quality hemodialysis care in the dialysis unit and at the bedside for ICU patients unable to travel (ICU dialysis / bedside hemodialysis)
  • Connect and disconnect patients from peritoneal dialysis treatments and manage related care
  • Operate and troubleshoot Fresenius hemodialysis machines (full orientation provided)
  • Perform patient assessments, monitor dialysis treatments, and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Participate in on-call rotation and work every other weekend as scheduled
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nephrology, ICU, nursing leadership) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to facility protocols, and follow safety and infection control standards
