Job Requirements / Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in Texas (required)
- Current and valid DEA license
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or equivalent ED experience
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine is preferred but not required
- Strong clinical judgment, emergency procedures proficiency, and ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages in the emergency department
- Perform rapid assessments, diagnostics, stabilization, and treatment for acute and urgent conditions
- Manage trauma, medical, and surgical emergencies consistent with ED protocols
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient encounters, clinical decision-making, and disposition plans in the medical record
- Participate in departmental quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and peer communication as needed
