Endoscopy RN Job Requirements
- Active, permanent California Registered Nurse (RN) license; temporary or emergency licenses are not accepted
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- At least 2 years of professional Registered Nurse experience
- Recent endoscopy, perioperative, procedural, or closely related clinical experience strongly preferred
- Ability to provide professional references
- Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills
- Willingness to float within the hospital or between affiliated campuses as needed
- Ability to meet all travel assignment onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements
Endoscopy Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
- Complete pre-procedure nursing assessments, verify clinical information, and prepare patients for procedures
- Monitor patients throughout endoscopy procedures and support post-procedure recovery according to established standards
- Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate promptly with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice and applicable protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital standards
- Support infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement practices
- Collaborate with physicians, procedural staff, and other healthcare professionals to promote positive patient outcomes
- Float to other units or affiliated locations when operationally required
