Environmental Services Technician – On-site in University City, Philadelphia, PA (19104). Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $720 - $770
• Location: On-site in University City, Philadelphia, PA (19104)
• Hours / Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday (PM shift)
• Duration: 13-week contract with potential for temp-to-perm
• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital / clinical facility – environmental services role

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in environmental services, EVS, or similar sanitation/cleaning role (hospital or clinical setting preferred)
• Proven reliability, professionalism, and strong attendance record
• Familiarity with infection control practices and use of hospital-grade disinfectants (CDC/OSHA guidelines preferred)
• Ability to follow facility protocols for safety, sanitation, and waste handling
• Must be local to Philadelphia, PA (University City / 19104) and able to work on-site
• Open to temp-to-perm opportunities and pass required pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the healthcare facility, including patient rooms, common areas, and specialized clinical spaces
• Perform routine cleaning and scheduled deep cleaning tasks, including patient room turnover and terminal cleaning
• Follow established infection control protocols and safety procedures to support patient safety and reduce hospital-acquired infection risk
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment for floor care, surface disinfection, and restroom sanitation
• Handle supplies, linen, and waste according to facility policies; coordinate with team for regulated waste procedures when applicable
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, environmental services team members, and facility leadership to ensure a safe, welcoming environment
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and service calls within the healthcare facility
