Epic ClinDoc/ASAP Analyst – On-site in Pittsburgh, PA. Join a leading healthcare IT team supporting Epic ClinDoc and ASAP modules to improve patient care.

Join a dynamic healthcare technology and clinical informatics team in Pittsburgh, PA as an Epic ClinDoc/ASAP Analyst. This on-site, 1-year contract opportunity supports Epic EHR (ClinDoc and ASAP) for a major health system. You’ll play a key role in clinical documentation, ED/ASAP workflows, and Epic optimization to drive quality, safety, and efficiency across inpatient and emergency department settings.

  • Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15212 — Pittsburgh healthcare IT; close to major hospitals and clinical sites
  • Employment Type: On-Site (Healthcare IT / Clinical Informatics)

  • Shift: 8-hour shifts, 5 shifts per week
  • Duration: 52 weeks (1-year contract)
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,680 - $3,190 (competitive pay for Epic analysts)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Epic ClinDoc/ASAP Analyst or similar clinical IT analyst role supporting Epic EHR
  • Hands-on experience with Epic ClinDoc and ASAP modules (clinical documentation, ED workflows, order sets)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with clinicians, ED staff, and IT stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Experience with Epic upgrades, testing, build validation, and end-user training
  • Background in emergency department (ED) workflows or clinical documentation improvement (CDI)
  • Epic certification(s) a plus (ClinDoc, ASAP, or related)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, configure, and optimize Epic ClinDoc and ASAP modules to align with clinical workflows
  • Work closely with clinicians, ED leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to gather requirements and implement solutions
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Epic system issues and user-reported defects
  • Participate in system upgrades, build validation, unit/integration testing, and go-live support
  • Develop and deliver end-user training, job aids, and documentation for ClinDoc/ASAP changes
  • Maintain accurate records of system changes, ticket tracking, and configuration notes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on clinical documentation quality and ED throughput
