- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Employment Type: Travel contract
- Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Start Date: 9/14/2026
- End Date: 12/14/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekly Schedule: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 - $1,700
- Unit Type: Emergency Room / Emergency Department
- Charting System: Epic preferred
- Orientation: 24 to 36 hours
- Scheduling Note: At least 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, high-acuity emergency department
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Trauma, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills in triage, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, and critical care support
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Ability to work night shifts and provide care for patients across the lifespan
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
- Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
- Perform triage and prioritize care based on patient acuity
- Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered
- Support patients requiring ventilatory assistance, procedural sedation, or critical interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively during handoffs
- Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
