Job Requirements
- Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license at the time of submission
- Minimum 3 years of emergency department nursing experience in a similar-sized ED
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center or trauma setting required
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Trauma certification such as ATCN, TNCC, or ATLC required
- CPI certification required before start
- Cerner experience strongly preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with acute, critical, and trauma-related needs
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, stabilization, and intervention in a fast-paced ER environment
- Support safe, efficient patient flow while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the broader clinical team
- Deliver care for trauma, medical, and surgical emergency cases as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols, safety standards, and hospital policies
- Adapt quickly to changing patient volumes, acuity levels, and census-based staffing needs
- Contribute to a positive team environment and dependable weekend and holiday coverage
