Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Tele Float Contract Job in Trenton, NJ
Experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse needed for an 8-week contract in Trenton, New Jersey. This on-site acute care nursing job supports Med/Surg Tele patients holding in the ED and is ideal for RNs who thrive in a fast-paced float pool environment. Located in the 08638 area, this Trenton healthcare opportunity offers access to major Northeast corridors, a strong clinical community, and valuable experience across multiple units.

- Floating: Cross-campus floating required
- Patient Population: Med/Surg Tele patients holding in the ED
- EMR System: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
- Active RN license in New Jersey or compact RN license at time of submission
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Ability to work effectively in a float pool nursing environment with cross-campus assignments
- Strong assessment, telemetry monitoring, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfort caring for Med/Surg Tele patients in an ED hold setting
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality patient care to Med/Surg Tele patients holding in the ED
- Perform nursing assessments, monitor telemetry, and document changes in condition accurately
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and clinical protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient flow and continuity of care
- Float between assigned campuses as needed to meet patient care demands
- Maintain compliance with documentation standards, safety practices, and unit protocols
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting
