- Location: Portland, Oregon area
- Shift: Variable evening and night schedule
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050–$2,160
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Orientation: Approximately 40 hours
- Charting System: Epic
- Floating: May float between units based on facility needs
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- Compact RN license required at submission, if applicable
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Strong triage skills and emergency care experience for adult and pediatric patients
- Ability to manage a 1:4 patient ratio in a busy emergency department
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, and emergency interventions
- Must be comfortable floating to meet unit needs
- Reliable transportation is required
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
- Perform triage, assess acuity, and prioritize care in a fast-moving ED environment
- Administer medications, start and maintain IVs, and support blood product administration as needed
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Deliver care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients as indicated
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other support teams
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
- Support safe patient flow, stabilization, and transfer as appropriate
- Adapt to unit needs, including floating when required
- Maintain professional, compassionate care while working variable evening and night shifts
