Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Experience working with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong skills in triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, blood product administration, and emergency care
- Ability to care for patients across the lifespan, including pediatrics and adults
- Comfortable floating to other units as needed
- Reliable transportation required for the assignment
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-acuity nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
- Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical presentation
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changing patient conditions with urgency and precision
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other emergency interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support optimal patient outcomes
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
- Provide care for a diverse range of chief complaints and diagnoses in an acute care environment
- Maintain flexibility to support unit needs, including floating to other units when needed
