- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shift Schedule: Variable 3x12 schedule with shifts ranging from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend rotation required
- Call: No call required
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Float Requirement: May float to other campuses for support as needed within scope of practice
Job Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment in a high-acuity emergency care environment
- Ability to adapt to rotating shifts, variable assignments, and a team-based setting
Responsibilities
- Deliver competent, compassionate, and cost-effective nursing care in the emergency department
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients across a broad range of ages and acuity levels
- Support safe and effective interventions for emergency conditions and urgent clinical needs
- Administer treatments and medications in accordance with nursing standards and departmental protocols
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety, quality, and infection prevention practices
- Float to other campuses when needed, within scope of practice and operational support needs
