Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Waupaca, Wisconsin
Join a dedicated emergency care team as an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) in Waupaca, Wisconsin. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers competitive pay and the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in an 8-bed emergency department with a 1:4 patient ratio. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 16, 2027
- Healthcare Setting: 8-bed emergency department with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour mid shifts, 11:00 AM–11:30 PM
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Holiday Rotation: Required
- Call/Callback: None
- Electronic Documentation: Epic experience within the past year required
- Float Requirement: May float to regional facilities within a 60-mile radius
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 3 years of Registered Nurse experience
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience
- At least one completed travel nursing assignment required
- Associate degree in nursing or nursing certificate required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Current TNCC and NIHSS certifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced emergency care environment and regional floating expectations
Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
- Perform comprehensive emergency nursing assessments, prioritize care, and recognize changes in patient status
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support effective patient outcomes
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and assist with resuscitation and patient stabilization efforts
- Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and ongoing support
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in Epic
- Support a positive emergency care team environment through clear communication and dependable teamwork
