This travel nursing job offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic 28-bed Emergency Department with trauma care, behavioral health support, and cardiac monitoring while enjoying the island lifestyle, scenic beauty, and vibrant local community of Hilo.
Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
- Location: Hilo, Hawaii
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED) / Emergency Room
- Shift: Nights
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours weekly after the first week of orientation
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 10/26/2026
ER Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Hawaii Registered Nurse license required by the start date
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN or ER nursing experience preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency care environment
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Availability to arrive before the assignment start date for required onboarding
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a busy ED
- Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changing conditions
- Support care in a department with trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac monitoring capabilities
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver efficient, patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold clinical best practices in a high-acuity setting
