Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required; emergency department or acute care nursing experience strongly preferred
- Current CPR certification required
- Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound clinical decisions, and work independently when needed
- Comfort working in a high-acuity emergency department with changing patient needs
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using the nursing process
- Provide safe, high-quality patient care based on current needs and established care plans
- Educate patients and families throughout the admission-to-discharge process
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner
- Administer medications and perform treatments in a safe and effective manner
- Notify providers of relevant changes in patient condition and clinical concerns
- Ensure equipment and supplies are available, functional, and ready for patient care
- Collaborate with physicians, coworkers, and support staff to deliver efficient emergency care
