Job Details

• Location: Louisburg, NC 27549 — small-town North Carolina with easy access to Raleigh and the Research Triangle (Louisburg, NC nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 16, 2026 – May 25, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (06:45 – 19:15), rotating weekends
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 – $1,730 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Setting: 11-bed Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED); Joint Commission–accredited facility
• Patient Ratio: 4:1

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active RN license (state required) — travel nurses must meet licensing requirements for assignment
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room experience (ER RN, emergency nursing)
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency with IV administration, critical care skills, and drips
• Ability to float to Henderson ED if needed (rare)
• Travelers must reside 60+ miles from facility (travel nurse eligibility)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ER setting (emergency nursing, acute care)
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans using evidence-based practices
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and monitor critical drips
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, behavioral health staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care using Paragon EHR system (experience with Paragon preferred)
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff in the Emergency Department and adjacent psychiatric unit
