Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Active New Jersey RN license required and must be in hand at the time of application
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Flu immunization required unless a valid medical exemption with supporting documentation is provided
- Professional references or evaluations from an Emergency Department setting must be included
Emergency Department Responsibilities
- Provide rapid assessment, triage, and nursing care for patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and implement physician orders in a high-acuity setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support efficient emergency care delivery
- Respond effectively to urgent and critical situations while maintaining patient safety and quality standards
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
- Support patients and families with clear communication and compassionate care throughout the emergency visit
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance in accordance with the facility's scrub policy
