Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Tuba City, AZ. Provide urgent, trauma, and pediatric emergency care with a JCAHO-accredited team on the Colorado Plateau.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Location: Tuba City, AZ 86045 – Northwestern Arizona on the Colorado Plateau; ideal for travel nurses seeking Arizona nursing jobs and tribal healthcare experience
- Assignment Duration: 13-week travel assignment (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights & weekends; flexible)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / ER RN
- Openings: 3 ER RN positions available
- Facility: JCAHO-accredited health center serving a culturally rich community with deep Native American heritage
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (ER RN, emergency nursing, trauma or critical care background preferred)
- Valid RN license in any US state (Arizona RN license not required for travel assignment)
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- PALS (American Heart Association)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required within 1 year of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) – required within 1 year of hire
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) – required within 1 year of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – must be completed within 6 months of hire
- Emergency Severity Index Level 5 – within 3 months of hire
- Patient Sitter Competency Training – upon hire
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan (adult, pediatric, neonatal) in a fast-paced ER setting
- Perform a variety of emergency nursing procedures independently per physician orders and hospital protocols
- Provide trauma care, acute stabilization, triage, and rapid assessment using ESI and NIHSS standards
- Support patients and families during critical and culturally sensitive situations in a tribal health environment
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with hospital policies and JCAHO standards
- Participate in ongoing training, orientation sessions, and biweekly competency updates
- Orientation sessions are held every 2 weeks to ensure new staff are fully prepared and supported.
