Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as an anesthesiologist (general anesthesia experience required)
• Active and unrestricted medical license, or ability to obtain a North Carolina medical license or temporary privileges
• Board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist preferred
• Experience with general anesthesia; pediatric, obstetric, pain medicine, and critical care anesthesia experience a plus
• Completion and verification of a full credentialing file for locum tenens coverage
• Ability to obtain temporary privileges for clean, licensed providers

Responsibilities

• Provide general anesthesia care for surgical and procedural patients, including pre-op evaluation, intraoperative management, and post-anesthesia (PACU) care
• Manage perioperative anesthesia plans across a range of case types and specialties in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia and respond effectively to perioperative emergencies
• Maintain accurate, timely anesthesia records and documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based best practices in anesthesiology
