- Weekly Estimated Pay: $9,010 - $9,500 (locum tenens pay)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (7/13/2026 – 10/10/2026)
- Shift: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts preferred; 32 hours per week
- Location: Henrico, VA 23229 (Richmond, Virginia suburb)
- OR Capacity: 22 anesthesia rooms
- MD:CRNA Ratio: 1:4 (MD supervises CRNAs; no independent CRNA-only cases required)
- Charting / EMR: iPro

Qualifications / Job Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited college of medicine
- ECFMG and FLEX certification (as applicable)
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency
- Current and unrestricted physician license (Virginia license required or willingness to obtain)
- Board Certification or Fellowship in Anesthesiology preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in anesthesia practice (general anesthesia experience preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide medical management for patients rendered unconscious or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and procedures
- Pre-anesthesia evaluation, patient consent verification, and discussion of anesthetic options and risks
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia for general anesthesia cases
- Continuous intraoperative physiologic monitoring and timely clinical interventions
- Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department
- Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs and perioperative staff (MD supervision model)
- Document care using the site charting system (iPro) and adhere to institutional policies
