Experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) needed for a locum tenens assignment providing general anesthesia and OB anesthesia coverage across the Main OR and OB in a medically directed care team model. This role is based in North Miami Beach, Florida (33169)—a prime South Florida location near beaches, parks, and dining.

Locum Tenens CRNA Job Details

• Job Title: Locum Tenens CRNA (General & OB)
• Location: North Miami Beach, FL 33169 (South Florida)
• Start Date: 03/02/2026 (ASAP)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (ongoing need; length of need 6+ months)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts (varied scheduling may include 10s/12s/24s based on coverage needs)
• Typical OR Shift Times: 7:00a–3:30p and 7:00a–5:30p
• OB Coverage Pattern: Typically two 24-hour shifts plus occasional 12-hour shifts as needed
• Practice Model: Care Team Model (medically directed/supervised)
• EMR: Cerner

CRNA Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: OB anesthesia experience required
• Certification: Current NBCRNA certification (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist)
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Licensure: Florida CRNA license preferred; candidates in process may be considered with proof of application (license required prior to final medical staff processing)
• Case Logs: 24 months of case logs required
• Required Skills/Procedures: regional anesthesia and anesthesia blocks; strong OB anesthesia skillset
• Scheduling Flexibility: Must be willing to work a combination of Main OR and OB shifts (OB-only availability will not be considered)
• Professional Standing: Clean professional file (no legal, malpractice, or pending cases)

Key Responsibilities (Main OR & OB)

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care in the Main OR and OB settings within a medically directed care team
• Deliver in-house OB anesthesia coverage with physician backup as scheduled
• Manage a broad case mix including GI, neuro, OB, GYN, healthy pediatrics (>2 years), ortho, and regional blocks
• Perform regional anesthesia procedures/blocks in alignment with clinical needs and facility protocols
• Document anesthesia care in Cerner EMR
• Work within a medically directed/supervised care team model alongside anesthesiologists and perioperative/OB teams to support efficient, patient-centered care
