- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15)

- Employment Type: Travel, Locum Tenens, On-Site (hospital-based ground transport)
- Unit: Ground Transport — Non-driving patient transport role within hospital EMS / transport team
- Uniform: Pants and shirts provided
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent, relevant EMT or Paramedic experience within the last 2 years
- Current Virginia Paramedic Certification or approved VA EMT reciprocity with proof of FBI fingerprint check
- If applying from out of state: must hold National Registry (NREMT) or National Certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS and PALS certifications
- BLS certification (AHA)
- FEMA ICS 100, 200, and 700 certifications
- Hazmat Awareness certification preferred (not required)
- Completed skills checklist and detailed work history (please explain any gaps over 90 days)
- Prior travel or hospital transport experience preferred; experience with ePCR/EMS charting a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care and safe patient transport as part of the hospital ground transport team
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS staff to ensure continuity of care and patient safety
- Perform patient assessments, interventions, and monitoring consistent with EMT/Paramedic scope of practice
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care (ePCR/charting) and handoffs
- Participate in required orientation, competency checks, and ongoing training sessions
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and effective communication in all patient and team interactions
