Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,620–$4,280
- Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia
- Healthcare Setting: On-site emergency medicine

- Assignment Duration: Approximately 12 weeks, through April 27, 2027
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, including 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m. coverage
- Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
- Scheduling Expectations: Flexibility to support night and weekend coverage required
- Orientation: Shadowing and training provided before the start of the assignment

Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner or advanced practice provider experience, preferably in emergency medicine or an acute-care setting
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and credentials required to practice in Virginia
- Ability to provide on-site emergency medicine coverage across assigned day and evening shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and technicians
- Comfort working in a high-volume clinical environment and caring for approximately 18–20 patients per day
Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting for emergency medical care
- Provide coverage during assigned 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m. shifts
- Perform emergency medicine procedures within the scope of practice
- Participate in patient rounding and provide care for approximately 18–20 patients per day
- Support patient care in the ICU when needed
- Assist with ventilator management when clinically indicated and within established privileges
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technicians to promote timely, high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow applicable emergency medicine protocols
