- Assignment Dates: August 15, 2026 – March 31, 2027
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,680 – $6,080
- Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation (46-bed unit) – CARF-accredited inpatient rehab hospital
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days, 40 hours/week)
- Shifts per Week: Full-time, 5 shifts/week
- Patient Encounters per Shift: 15–23 (inpatient rehab physician caseload)
- Duration: 33 weeks
- Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
Job Requirements
- Active Physician license (AK, IMLC, or AK TEMP accepted)
- Board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) required
- Current DEA registration
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year experience in inpatient rehabilitation or related setting (rehab physician experience preferred)
- Current CV/resume
- Ability to manage a patient panel of up to 23 rehab patients per shift
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient rehabilitation care as a consulting PM&R physician in collaboration with hospitalist attendings
- Perform patient evaluations, daily follow-ups, and ensure each patient is seen at least three times per week per CMS regulations
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record per hospital policies
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized patient care planning
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse inpatient rehab population
- Support the hospital’s mission of excellence in rehabilitation medicine and coordinate care with therapists and case management
