Certified Medical Assistant Job Requirements
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required
- Experience working in a hospital, clinic, or medical office setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary care teams and healthcare staff
- Experience supporting specialties such as Primary Care, Oncology, OBGYN, Pediatrics, or School Health is a plus
Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient intake, rooming, and clinical support duties
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information
- Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits and procedures
- Support patient flow and help maintain an efficient clinical environment
- Perform administrative and clinical tasks within scope, including documentation and coordination of care
- Provide professional, compassionate service to patients and families
- Follow facility protocols, safety standards, and infection prevention guidelines
