Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Travel Job – Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Medford, WI

CNA Travel Job Details

  • Location: Medford, Wisconsin
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,130–$1,210
  • Assignment Type: 13-week travel CNA contract
  • Start Date: November 2, 2026
  • End Date: January 30, 2027
  • Schedule: 8-hour day/evening rotation; evening shift is approximately 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week, excluding orientation week
  • Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Float Expectations: May float among four care units, including nursing home, rehabilitation, long-term care, and community-based residential care settings
  • Call Requirements: No regularly scheduled call
  • Dress Code: Clean, work-appropriate scrubs of any style

Certified Nursing Assistant Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of recent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience in a skilled nursing facility is required
  • Current Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant license or certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
  • High school diploma, GED, or official transcripts
  • Strong resident-care and medication-related support skills within the scope of practice and facility policy
  • Ability to work day and evening rotations and participate in the required weekend and holiday schedule
  • Ability to float between units and adapt to the needs of skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, and community-based residential care residents
  • Completion of, or commitment to complete, 12 hours of continuing education related to community-based residential care requirements
  • Electronic charting experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided

CNA Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and nourishment
  • Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition, behavior, comfort, and functional status to the nursing team
  • Support safe transfers, ambulation, repositioning, and fall-prevention measures
  • Assist with resident care across nursing home, long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and community-based residential care units
  • Deliver timely, accurate care while following established care plans, infection-prevention practices, and facility procedures
  • Support medication-related care as permitted by applicable regulations, training, and scope of practice
  • Document care and observations accurately in the designated electronic charting system
  • Promote resident dignity, independence, privacy, and a positive care experience
  • Collaborate with nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to meet resident needs
