Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist / Computed Tomography Tech (first-time travelers welcome)
• Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required (ARRT CT)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Proficiency in CT and X-ray modalities — must be able to perform both
• Experience with Siemens CT equipment required; Samsung X-Ray preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required; PACS experience required
• Outpatient (adult & pediatric) and Emergency Department imaging experience required
• Must be proficient at starting peripheral IVs (expect ~8–9 IV starts per shift) and administering contrast media
• Experience with portable imaging and image post-processing (multiplanar reconstruction, CTAs, perfusion) preferred
• Experience with infants and pediatrics preferred; ability to provide pediatric imaging care
• Ability to float to other facilities within the health system as needed
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• License in hand required at time of submission
• No local candidates within 50 miles — NC travel technologist applicants encouraged

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of CT procedures: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, brain perfusion, CT angiography (CTAs), and multiplanar reconstruction
• Conduct X-Ray exams including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Provide imaging services for outpatient, emergency department, and pediatric patients — consistent with hospital protocols
• Start peripheral IVs and administer contrast media safely; monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Ensure radiation safety, proper PPE use, and adherence to ALARA principles
• Utilize EPIC for charting and PACS for image management and reporting workflow
• Perform portable imaging as needed and support image post-processing tasks
• Float to other facilities in the health system when requested and complete required orientation modules in a timely manner
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, departmental procedures, and quality assurance standards
