CT Tech Job Requirements
- Three to five years of hospital experience performing a broad range of CT examinations with and without contrast
- Current Virginia CT Technologist license or authorization in hand
- Current flu vaccination required
- Demonstrated experience operating GE CT equipment
- Experience with Epic and PACS
- At least two professional references from the past two years, including one reference from a management-level professional
- Strong knowledge of CT protocols, contrast administration, radiation safety, and patient care standards
- Ability to work overnight shifts, participate in call coverage, and provide compassionate care to patients and families
CT Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform computed tomography examinations according to established protocols and physician direction
- Complete CT studies with and without contrast while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety
- Administer CT contrast in accordance with applicable protocols and safety standards
- Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and provide clear patient and family education
- Operate GE CT equipment safely and effectively
- Follow radiation safety regulations and departmental quality standards
- Complete accurate examination documentation and maintain timely records in Epic and PACS
- Keep equipment clean, operational, and ready for use
- Monitor and maintain adequate supplies for daily CT procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team
