Travel CT Technologist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,670–$2,870
- Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based CT and diagnostic imaging department
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts with varied start times between approximately 6:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.; schedules may include five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
- Weekends and Holidays: Rotating weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Call Requirements: May be placed on call during low-census periods; call-back assignments have a two-hour minimum
CT Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist or Computed Tomography Technologist
- Associate degree or approved certificate in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Current Wisconsin state authorization or license as required for practice
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Demonstrated experience operating GE and Siemens CT scanners
- Epic electronic medical record charting experience preferred
- Ability to adapt to changing workflows, collaborate effectively, and provide dependable patient care
- Willingness to float to nearby affiliated imaging locations when operationally needed
CT Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT examinations safely, accurately, and efficiently
- Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain examinations, and promote comfort and safety throughout the imaging process
- Operate and troubleshoot GE and Siemens CT equipment according to department standards
- Verify imaging orders, screen patients, administer contrast when authorized, and monitor for patient reactions
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete CT imaging records in the electronic medical record
- Apply radiation-safety principles and follow diagnostic imaging quality-control procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, technologists, and other members of the healthcare team
- Provide flexible coverage for varied schedules, rotating weekends, holidays, and approved float assignments
