  • Position: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN)
  • Setting: Acute care hospital
  • Location: Anchorage, AK 99508
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks or 26 weeks, traveler’s choice
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends, no call
  • Shift Duration: 8-hour days
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950 - $2,100
  • Charting System: Epic preferred
  • Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Certification: RD/RDN required

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical dietitian experience required
  • Pediatric dietitian experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with adult and pediatric populations preferred
  • Experience with enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition preferred
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition assessments, therapeutic diets, and nutrition-focused physical exams
  • Epic electronic medical record experience preferred
  • RD/RDN certification required
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced acute care environment

Responsibilities

  • Complete nutrition assessments and reassessments for hospitalized patients
  • Develop and update individualized nutrition care plans
  • Provide guidance on therapeutic diets, enteral nutrition, and parenteral nutrition
  • Support patients with a variety of diagnoses across all age groups
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Apply clinical expertise to support safe, effective, and patient-centered nutrition services
