Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630 - $1,750
• Location: Freeport, IL 61032 — Illinois dietitian job / Freeport, IL travel dietitian
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital (clinical dietitian)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 8-hour days (8:00am – 4:30pm), every other to every 3rd weekend, rotating holidays
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Number of Positions: 2 openings

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Dietitian in a hospital or acute care setting (clinical nutrition experience preferred)
• Registered Dietitian credential — RD or RDN required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
• Familiarity with MEDITECH charting system is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutritional assessments and individualized nutrition interventions for patients in an acute care hospital
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physicians, nurses, therapists) to develop and implement patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education on dietary needs, disease-related nutrition therapy, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the MEDITECH charting system and hospital policies
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations as required
