Clinical Dietitian job in South Miami, Florida, supporting adult and geriatric patients through personalized nutrition care in inpatient rehabilitation.

Join an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team as a Clinical Dietitian in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting in South Miami, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to support patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, traumatic, oncologic, and other complex medical conditions. You will help develop personalized nutrition strategies and provide medical nutrition therapy that promote healing, functional recovery, and a return to greater independence.

Clinical Dietitian Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810–$1,940
• Assignment Length: 8 weeks
• Start Date: September 24, 2026
• End Date: November 19, 2026
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Hours: 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour days
• Call: None required
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient acute rehabilitation
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric rehabilitation patients
• Location: South Miami, Florida

Clinical Dietitian Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field
• Dietitian credential or certification appropriate for clinical practice, such as the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential, as applicable
• At least 2 years of clinical dietitian experience; new graduates are not eligible for this assignment
• Previous experience in an inpatient rehabilitation facility and/or medical-surgical setting
• Demonstrated proficiency with Cerner; experience with Meal Tracker is preferred
• Knowledge of evidence-based nutrition practices and medical nutrition therapy for wounds, diabetes, chronic pulmonary disease, and other chronic conditions
• Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and time-management skills

Inpatient Rehabilitation Dietitian Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments and reassessments for adult and geriatric rehabilitation patients
• Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on diagnoses, clinical status, functional goals, and patient preferences
• Provide nutrition interventions, medical nutrition therapy, and patient education related to wound healing, diabetes management, chronic pulmonary disease, and other complex conditions
• Monitor patient intake, nutritional progress, laboratory data, weight trends, and response to interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Document assessments, recommendations, and follow-up care accurately in Cerner and related electronic medical record systems
• Apply current nutrition and dietetic evidence to support quality patient care and positive rehabilitation outcomes
